Scarlett Johansson (born November 22 1984 New York City New York, U.S.) American actress and singer whose acting range earned her popular acclaim in a variety of genres from period drama to thriller and action adventure. Johansson is the daughter of a film producer and an architect. She was raised by New York City. Hunter was twin to their younger sisters. When she was just seven year old, she started auditioning for television commercials. Her interest in acting grew quickly, and she was immediately at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. In the Off-Broadway play Sophistry she co-starred with Ethan Hawke. She then made her first film appearance in North (1994) which was produced by Rob Reiner, at age nine. Johansson was later seen in Just Cause (1995), but her first break came with Manny & Lo a coming of age movie about two sisters who run away. Next, she received the praise of critics for playing the role of a teenager who suffered an accident that resulted in her being damaged in The Horse Whisperer (1998). She gained more attention with the film Ghost World (2002) as the outcast cynical Rebecca. The actress is most famous for her role as Nell Jones (on CBS' hit series NCIS Los Angeles). The actress is one of the major actors. She's also an accomplished stage performer. Her performances were stunning in Wildflower and other plays. Renee Felice Smith was a child when she began her entertainment career. As a child Smith began to take an interest with acting. Smith's parents helped her with getting her first role in the acting world at age six. She made a commercial for Dannon. Like many other actresses starting out she decided to hone her craft in the world of theater. While she made her on-stage debut with Wildflower she was also working with various theatre projects in the USA. She attended in the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory, part of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
